"Eradicating Illegal Advertisements in Alleyways"... Daegu Seo-gu Attaches Anti-Stick Sheets to City Gas Pipelines

On the 19th, the Bisan 4-dong Administrative Welfare Center in Seo-gu, Daegu (Dongjang Seong Jeongsuk) announced that it has completed the installation of anti-illegal advertisement sheets on urban gas pipeline protective covers for the first time in the Daegu area.


This project involved repairing the urban gas pipeline protective covers, which had been damaged and dirtied by various advertisements attached in every alley, and installing sheets to prevent the attachment of advertisements. With an investment of 18 million KRW from the resident participation budget project, the first of its kind in Daegu, the project was completed to create a clean and pleasant village environment.

In Buk-gu, Daegu, illegal advertisements indiscriminately attached to urban gas pipeline protective covers in every alley were damaging the cityscape, necessitating maintenance. Anti-advertisement sheets were installed at about 420 locations.


Residents here expressed in unison, “The urban gas pipeline protective covers in the alleys were so dirty that we didn’t want to look at them, but after the thorough cleaning, the village environment has brightened, and we are pleased.”


Seong Jeongsuk, the head of Bisan 4-dong, said, “We expect this anti-advertisement sheet installation project to have a positive effect on improving the village environment,” adding, “We will continue to do our best to create a cleaner and more pleasant village environment.”
