Korea Safety Education Association and Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute Conduct Experiential Disaster Safety Education

The Korea Safety Education Association (President Jeong Seong-ho, hereinafter referred to as the Association) conducted experiential disaster safety training to prepare for various social disasters that may occur in daily life for the executives and employees of the Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute headquarters and the Incheon Cluster.

The training, held with about 100 employees in the main auditorium of the headquarters and the Incheon Cluster, utilized a simulator and safety education content embedded in the experiential safety kiosk developed independently by the Association, which enhanced employees' interest compared to the previously conducted theoretical training.

The Association’s CPR simulator used in this training allows for repetitive practice so that trainees can become accustomed through multiple experiences. It incorporates ranking elements to increase participation rates, and the simulator operation program and content are designed to enable learners to check real-time information such as the speed and pressure of cardiopulmonary resuscitation on a monitor, helping them learn the correct compression posture.

Furthermore, the Association’s fire suppression training uses training fire extinguishers linked with a fire extinguisher simulator, allowing participants to feel vibrations and perform spraying as if in a real situation. Since no smoke or harmful substances are generated, multiple repeated experiences are possible, enhancing the participants’ fire suppression skills.

President Jeong Seong-ho of the Association stated, “I hope this helps prevent safety accidents among the institute’s executives and employees, strengthens their response capabilities in disaster situations, and raises safety awareness.” He added, “We will lead a safety culture through smart education methods that conduct disaster safety training through experiential learning.”

Meanwhile, the Association is a government-certified educational institution that provides various safety trainings beyond legally mandated education through group sessions, online, and postal methods, and also offers diverse job training educational content by field.

Detailed information about the Association’s legally mandated education, job training, and experiential safety training can be found on the website or by phone contact.
