SGA announced on the 18th that it has secured the contract for the preliminary project (Phase 1) of the Defense Onnara 2.0 transition led by the Defense Computing and Information Agency, as well as the establishment of the Ministry of National Defense's technical qualification examination (CBT) system.
SGA stated, "As the main contractor, we will be responsible for overall project management and the planning and construction of the integrated Onnara ISM system," adding, "This project will transition the entire military to the 'Onnara 2.0' system, enabling system sharing and collaboration based on cloud technology."
Through the integrated Onnara system, sharing of production documents and DB data will maximize inter-agency work collaboration and utilization, ensuring stability and convenience. The project is valued at approximately 3 billion KRW and is scheduled to be carried out over about eight months from May to December this year.
The Onnara document system is a work management system that drafts, classifies, and processes approvals systematically and in real time online. The military has been operating the Onnara 1.0 system since 2010. This project will transition the system to the cloud-based Onnara 2.0 system, enabling sharing and collaboration across the entire military. The outdated document distribution system will also be improved and advanced to provide user-centered digital services.
Additionally, improvements will be made to existing MOUS/SSO functions (such as duplicate account cleanup and updating organizational information) and the existing Ministry of National Defense OMS/SSO will be decommissioned. Functionality enhancements will also include fax document distribution, function classification, and integrated search. The development of the national technical qualification examination system (CBT) will also be undertaken.
SGA has been recognized for its technical expertise through numerous public system construction projects, including the Seoul Metropolitan Government's next-generation work management system, the Presidential Office's IT environment advancement project, and the Korea Education and Research Information Service's 4th generation intelligent NEIS construction.
Kim Sinhwan, CEO of SGA, said, "Our company is a specialized education informatization company with a solid position in the next-generation education IT service market, including NEIS and K-Edu," and added, "Based on the technology and know-how we have accumulated, we expect to expand our ITS business area in the public sector, such as Onnara, and generate stable revenue through derivative business areas like operation and maintenance."
