"Continuously Developing Competitive 5G Private Network Services"
On the 18th, KT announced that it will collaborate with HFR, a specialized telecommunications equipment manufacturer, to explore the effectiveness of introducing and developing technologies for expanding the 5G private network business area. The two companies signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) centered on this content. HFR is a mid-sized telecommunications equipment company that has developed an end-to-end solution necessary for building 5G private networks.

The two companies plan to jointly create a program that can pre-validate the effects of introducing digital transformation (DX) solutions by building 5G private network infrastructure for small and medium-sized enterprises, local governments, and public enterprises. Through this, they expect to present a reliable method for introducing 5G private networks to customers and transform the 5G private network ecosystem to be centered on domestic equipment manufacturers. They also anticipate that it will become possible to quickly support DX execution for customers who have introduced or are considering building 5G private networks.
Min Hyebyeong, Executive Director of KT Enterprise Service DX Headquarters, said, “The 5G private network market, which is in its early stages, directly links the expansion and activation of the ecosystem to customer benefits. Through cooperation between the two companies, we will continue to develop competitive 5G private network services.”
