Jinju City Recruiting Volunteers for October Festival Until the 27th

Foreign Language Interpretation and Tourist Guide Volunteers

Jinju City in Gyeongnam is recruiting 'foreign language interpreters and tourism guide volunteers' to participate in the October festivals, including the Jinju Namgang Yudeung Festival.

The city is recruiting a total of about 60 volunteers for foreign language (English, Japanese, Chinese, etc.) interpretation and tourism guidance (shuttle bus boarding points) during the festival period until the 27th.

Anyone aged 18 or older who can communicate with foreign tourists or has basic knowledge of Jinju's history, culture, and festivals, and possesses a strong sense of responsibility and volunteer spirit can apply.

The application method is posted on the city's website under the news announcement section, and applications can be submitted via email, fax, or in person. The final selection results will be individually notified on August 11.

A city official said, "The reason why Jinju's October festivals could become 'festivals beyond imagination' was due to the active participation and strong volunteer spirit of the volunteers," and added, "We hope for the active participation of citizens who are responsible and interested."

This year's Jinju Namgang Yudeung Festival will be held from October 8 to 22, and the Gaecheon Arts Festival and Korea Drama Festival will take place from October 13 to 22 around Jinju Fortress and the Namgang riverside area.
