An octogenarian, Mr. A, was found dead on the morning of the 17th, one day after going missing in a stream in Hoedong-ri, Jeongseon-eup, Jeongseon-gun, Gangwon.
Mr. A went missing around noon the previous day while resting at a farm shed near the stream and heading home. Police and fire authorities conducted a search operation and found Mr. A deceased about 3 km from the farm shed, then recovered the body and transported it to a hospital.
The police believe Mr. A was swept away by the swollen water and are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident.
