[Special Stock] Costexis Replaces SiC for EV Companies Due to China's Gallium Export Controls... Increased Supply of Core SiC Components

Kostexis is showing strong performance. It is interpreted that the news about China controlling the export of gallium, a semiconductor material for electric vehicles, allowing EV manufacturers to use silicon carbide (SiC) as an alternative, has influenced this trend.

As of 9:15 AM on the 12th, Kostexis is trading at 3,380 KRW, up 7.81% compared to the previous day.

According to foreign media on the previous day, mineral experts stated that with China controlling exports of germanium and gallium starting in August, automakers in the early stages of next-generation EV design may choose silicon carbide over gallium nitride despite its lower performance.

According to the industry, a Japanese automotive parts supplier is currently reviewing whether to use gallium nitride or silicon carbide for semiconductors in power-related components.

Meanwhile, Kostexis has developed the core component spacer for SiC power semiconductors, the next-generation semiconductor for electric vehicles, and is supplying prototypes to global automakers. Currently, it is developing mass production technology that can lead the market in line with the mass production schedule of its customers.
