Seongbuk-gu 'Child and Youth Friendly City Seongbuk' Website Renovation Completed

Seongbuk-gu (Mayor Lee Seung-ro) has newly revamped and launched the 'Child and Adolescent Friendly City Seongbuk' website.

Since being certified by UNICEF in 2013 as Korea's first child-friendly city, Seongbuk-gu has actively promoted its efforts to provide various projects and facilities to ensure children can grow up safely and happily. To operate customized content for children and adolescents, the website was revamped and launched on the 7th.

The new 'Child and Adolescent Friendly City Seongbuk' website is optimized for various devices including PCs, smartphones, and tablet PCs with appropriate screen ratios. Colors and illustrations preferred by children and adolescents were actively used to enhance user-friendliness.

Information on experiences, academic improvement, career and college preparation courses, as well as various facilities such as libraries, parks, and places to enjoy hobbies and leisure activities, are organized for easy viewing at a glance. Registration for events and programs is simplified by allowing participation through easy authentication via Naver and Kakao.

Jo Soo-min, Public Relations and IT Media Team Officer in charge of the website revamp, said, “While most local governments provide vast information for the general public through their main websites, the new 'Child and Adolescent Friendly City Seongbuk' website focuses on enabling children and adolescents to use information and content they are interested in more effectively.”

Lee Seung-ro, Mayor of Seongbuk-gu, stated, “Going forward, Seongbuk-gu will actively gather the needs of children and adolescents and promptly reflect their requests, living up to its reputation as Korea's first child-friendly city.” He added, “We hope many children and adolescents in Seongbuk will fully enjoy and experience the various fun activities and valuable programs through the newly revamped Child and Adolescent Friendly City Seongbuk website during this summer vacation.”
