Nowon-gu Social Economy Enterprises Public Procurement Expo Held

Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon-gu, Attends the 2023 Nowon-gu Social Economy Enterprises Public Procurement Expo

Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon-gu, Seoul, attended the '2023 Nowon Social Economy Public Procurement Expo' held at the Nowon-gu Office auditorium at 3 p.m. on the 10th.

Started in 2017 and now in its 6th edition, the 'Nowon-gu Social Economy Enterprises Public Procurement Expo' is an event designed to raise awareness of social economy enterprises and public procurement, as well as to promote and support the sales channels for products and services of social economy enterprises.

The expo was hosted and organized by the Nowon-gu Office and the Nowon Social Economy Support Center, featuring 20 growing social economy enterprises from various sectors within Nowon-gu, including events, performances, educational services, travel services, food, manufactured goods, construction, and cleaning.

The opening ceremony was attended by about 200 people, including Mayor Oh Seung-rok, Kim Jun-sung, Chairperson of the Nowon-gu Council, city and district council members, heads of all departments (dong) of the district office, and purchasing officers. The ceremony proceeded with greetings, congratulatory speeches, and a round of visits.

Mayor Oh Seung-rok stated, “I hope this expo will serve as an opportunity for enterprises to meet the procurement demands of public institutions,” and added, “We will actively strive to revitalize the social economy through continuous promotion and support for market development, including the preferential purchase of social economy enterprise products.”
