Among Starbucks stores operating in 80 countries worldwide, Switzerland has been found to have the most expensive coffee prices. On the other hand, the cheapest country is T?rkiye. The price difference for a Tall size latte between these two countries exceeds five times. This price gap is determined by various factors such as the consumer price level in each country, tariffs and taxes, raw material and operating costs.

According to the ‘Starbucks Tall Size Latte Price List by Country’ surveyed by Savingspot on the 11th, Switzerland has the highest price, with a latte costing 7.17 USD per cup. Based on the previous day’s KRW-USD closing exchange rate (1306.50 KRW), this converts to 9,368 KRW.


Following Switzerland are Denmark at 6.55 USD (8,558 KRW), Finland at 5.67 USD (7,408 KRW), Hong Kong at 5.52 USD (7,212 KRW), Luxembourg at 5.51 USD (7,199 KRW), and France at 5.36 USD (7,003 KRW). Conversely, the cheapest country is T?rkiye, where the latte is sold for 1.31 USD (1,712 KRW). In South Korea, the same beverage is sold for 5,000 KRW.


In the United States, all 50 states sell coffee at different prices. The larger the city, the more expensive the coffee tends to be. Among them, Hawaii is the most expensive state, with a Tall size latte priced at 3.92 USD (5,121 KRW). The cheapest state for the same beverage is Mississippi at 2.89 USD (3,776 KRW), showing a significant price variation even within the U.S. Washington State, where Starbucks was first established in Seattle in 1971, ranks as the 10th most expensive state for Starbucks coffee.

The most expensive Starbucks menu item worldwide is the Iced Caramel Macchiato sold in Switzerland, with a Tall size priced at 9.31 USD (12,148 KRW).


Meanwhile, Starbucks currently operates over 32,000 stores across 80 countries. The majority of stores are in the home country, the United States, with about 6,400 locations. Following is South Korea, one of the countries with high coffee consumption, with around 1,500 stores, ranking second. Mexico ranks third with 750 stores, and the United Kingdom is fourth with 748 stores. T?rkiye, which has the cheapest coffee prices, ranks fifth with 536 stores.


Starbucks headquarters recently announced on their website plans to increase the number of stores worldwide to 45,000 by the end of 2025.
