This competition is in its third year since its inception in 2019. It was suspended due to COVID-19 and resumed with the 2nd event in 2022.

Notably, this year's competition was an official event certified by the Korea Equestrian Federation, featuring both general recreational athletes and professional players. The number of participants and event categories has expanded annually, making it a substantial equestrian competition. Additionally, some of the prizes each year have been prepared as local gift certificates and specialty products, drawing much attention and positive response.

On the first day, the 8th, seven obstacle events were held: three integrated divisions, two official, and two retired racehorse categories. On the 9th, a total of 520 matches were conducted across 15 events, including three integrated divisions, two official, one retired racehorse, one obstacle, and one participation event.

A Jeollabuk-do official stated, "This competition has established equestrianism not only as a professional sport for elite athletes but also as a sport that general recreational athletes can enjoy and participate in together. We will actively work to improve equestrian facilities and host many equestrian competitions so that Jeollabuk-do can play a central role in the horse industry."

Meanwhile, the equestrian events of the 104th National Sports Festival, scheduled for October 13?19 this year, will be held at the Jangsu International Equestrian Park. The province also plans to host 18 large and small equestrian competitions at various locations, including Buan Saemangeum Equestrian Park, expecting about 15,000 equestrian-related visitors, including approximately 3,000 athletes, to visit Jeollabuk-do.
