Gwangju Buk-gu Recruiting Participants for Small Weddings Targeting Disabled, Low-Income, and Multicultural Families

The Wooriduri Small Wedding Ceremony is a project that supports weddings for vulnerable couples to respond to low birth rates and promote a frugal wedding culture.

Buk-gu started this project in 2019 through public-private cooperation and has supported 15 couples to hold their weddings with blessings so far.

Applicants are young prospective couples in the district who have not been able to hold a wedding due to economic difficulties, couples from disabled, low-income, and multicultural families, and a total of five couples will be selected.

This year's wedding ceremony is scheduled to be held jointly at Casadiluche Wedding Convention on September 14, and the 'Wooriduri Small Wedding Ceremony Promotion Team,' composed of related organizations and private companies, will provide venues, wedding attire, wedding photography, makeup, and more free of charge through talent donation.

Couples wishing to participate can submit an application form by email or visit the Buk-gu Office Women's and Childcare Division by the 31st.

A Buk-gu official said, "We have been supporting vulnerable couples to hold their weddings with blessings together with the local community," adding, "We will continue to support couples who cannot hold weddings due to difficult family circumstances."
