Foreigners' Korean Literature Appreciation Contest... Accepting Text, Drawing, and Video Submissions

The Literature Translation Institute of Korea announced that it will hold the "2023 Korean Literature Review Contest" until September 30.


The review contest is open to foreigners aged 14 and above to expand the foreign readership. Participants can create and submit reviews of selected books in the form of writing, drawings, or videos. The selected books are Cheon Myeong-kwan's Gorae (Whale), Kim Cho-yeop's Uliga Bit-ui Sokdoro Gal Su Eopdamyeon (If We Cannot Travel at the Speed of Light), Jeong Se-rang's Bogeon Gyosa An Eun-yeong (The School Nurse Files), Kim Hye-jin's Ddare Daehayeo (About My Daughter), and Kim Seung-hee's Huimang-i Oeropda (Hope Is Lonely).

Foreigners' Korean Literature Appreciation Contest... Accepting Text, Drawing, and Video Submissions

Submissions are accepted until September 30. Winners will be announced on October 24. Entries can be submitted in multiple categories, but duplicate submissions within the same category are not allowed. Three grand prize winners in each category will be given the opportunity to visit Korea in November. Winners placing first to third in each category will receive prizes such as tablet PCs, e-book readers, and Amazon gift cards.


Only original works created individually without assistance from others or machines (AI) will be accepted. Verification procedures regarding the creation process and plagiarism will be conducted for winning entries.
