The Dokdo Museum in Ulleung-gun, Gyeongbuk, successfully concluded the '1st Dokdo Museum Humanities Lecture' program and held a completion ceremony on the 5th at the Buk-myeon Community Center.
This lecture series was composed of various humanities fields including history, cultural anthropology, and folklore studies. It began on May 17 and consisted of a total of 8 sessions held every Wednesday, each covering a different topic.
The Dokdo Museum plans to continue organizing and operating diverse humanities lectures to expand opportunities for cultural enjoyment and lifelong education for local residents. The museum university for the second half of the year is scheduled to begin in September.
Nam Han-kwon, the county governor, stated, “I hope the activation of the museum university program will broaden the cultural life base of the local community.”
