Woosung Acoustics Launches Graphene CVD Cable

Woosung Acoustics (CEO: Wo Jongpil) has launched the custom earphone cable graphene CVD cable ‘GRAPHENE CVD CABLE.’ ‘PURE4, PURE8’ under the new domestic earphone and headphone cable brand R&S. R&S is a brand specializing in the production of high-quality custom cables. Based on 50 years of experience in earphone cable manufacturing both domestically and internationally, and continuous research and development on graphene materials, they have succeeded in the world's first mass production of graphene CVD cables, leading to the official release of the series.

Graphene is one of the carbon allotropes and is currently one of the spotlighted new materials. Its main characteristics include electrical conductivity over 100 times higher than copper, and it maintains its electrical properties even when stretched or bent. ‘PURE4, PURE8’ utilize this fastest conductivity to minimize signal loss and deliver higher resolution and mature sound through overall sound quality improvement. Additionally, graphene boasts durability with a strength 200 times greater than steel. R&S’s graphene CVD cables are 100% manufactured domestically, and each batch of produced graphene cables provides a Raman spectroscopy PEAK analysis certificate confirming the deposition of high-quality pure graphene, ensuring a highly reliable product.

PURE4 and PURE8 offer optimized wearing comfort by leveraging the shape memory characteristics of the cables, minimizing discomfort even during long-term use, which is also expected to have some effect in reducing touch noise. The newly released models are based on 3.5mm and both PURE4 and PURE8 provide compatibility with MMCX/2Pin connectors.

Along with this new product launch, R&S held an exclusive listening event at Earphone Shop on July 8, providing a valuable time including product and brand introductions as well as material characteristic presentations. Product sales are conducted through the official distributor Woosung Acoustics, and the products are also expected to be available at Earphone Shop and other listening stores.
