Com2uverse, the metaverse subsidiary of Com2us, announced on the 6th that it has signed a three-party business agreement (MOU) with hobby leisure platform Somssidang Company and Hana Bank for a metaverse online class business.

Through this business agreement, Com2uverse will promote a metaverse class business on Com2uverse, which is being built as an open metaverse infrastructure, where users can learn and experience various fields of daily life such as culture, hobbies, and leisure. Each company will actively utilize their technologies, business strategies, and know-how to create a metaverse class environment ranging from large-scale lectures to small and medium-sized interactive classes, and will actively cooperate to revitalize and expand the ecosystem.

Somssidang, participating in the metaverse class construction, operates Somssidang, the largest hobby platform in Korea with over 1.2 million cumulative students. It provides and broadcasts online and offline classes nationwide, operating various hobby leisure businesses including regular classes, lectures, DIY kits, ticket sales for plays, exhibitions, and tours, as well as B2B hobby welfare and workshops for corporations.

Com2uverse will build a new metaverse class infrastructure to allow users to experience Somssidang’s online and offline classes on Com2uverse, creating a metaverse hobby leisure business environment that connects reality and virtual space. Somssidang will expand the business base by recruiting excellent creators, curating classes, and providing high-quality content to Com2uverse for the metaverse class business.

Additionally, Hana Bank will collaborate with Com2uverse to jointly promote the construction of financial infrastructure necessary for the metaverse, and actively utilize the know-how of the three companies to support small business owners participating in Com2uverse and encourage leisure activities for socially vulnerable groups.

Lee Kyung-il, CEO of Com2uverse, stated, “We are preparing to surpass the existing online education methods through metaverse classes,” and added, “We will provide a new type of service that shares experiences so that Somssidang’s content can become a means to realize a second self beyond simple hobby activities.”
