Geumcheon-gu Takes Initiative to Support Export Paths for Outstanding Small and Medium Enterprises

Recruiting 6 Companies in IT and Electrical/Electronic Fields, 6 Companies in Beauty Field

Participate in the ‘Hong Kong Autumn Electronics Fair’ and ‘Osaka Beauty Fair’ Held in October

Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) announced that it is recruiting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to participate in overseas exhibitions until July 14.

The support for participating in overseas exhibitions is designed to help SMEs enhance their sales capabilities by subsidizing participation costs at globally recognized overseas exhibitions and to contribute to revitalizing the local economy.

The recruiting companies are 6 firms in the information and communication technology (IT) and electrical/electronic fields, and 6 firms in the beauty field, all located in Geumcheon-gu. The IT and electrical/electronic companies will participate in the ‘Hong Kong Autumn Electronics Fair,’ while the beauty companies will participate in the ‘Osaka Beauty Fair (Beautyworld).’ Participating companies can receive support for booth rental fees, transportation costs for exhibits, translation, and local interpretation services.

The ‘Hong Kong Autumn Electronics Fair’ is Asia’s largest exhibition, which last year hosted 3,600 companies and 100,000 visitors, and will be held from October 13 to 16.

The ‘Osaka Beauty Fair (Beautyworld)’ is the largest exhibition in the western Japan region, which last year hosted 400 companies and 34,000 visitors, and will be held from October 16 to 18.

Companies wishing to participate can apply through the Seoul Business Agency website under ‘2023 Geumcheon-gu Overseas Exhibition Participation Support Project Recruitment.’

Yu Seong-hoon, Mayor of Geumcheon-gu, stated, “We will actively support SMEs in Geumcheon-gu who face difficulties in developing overseas markets to establish a foothold for entering global markets,” and added, “We ask for the interest and active participation of companies.”
