KC Industry Launches Concrete Modular Construction Platform 'BuildSimply'

- Launch of Online Architecture Platform for Modern Reinforced Concrete Construction Projects

Precast concrete specialist company KC Industry Co., Ltd. (CEO Hongjae Lee) announced on the 7th that it will launch an online architectural platform for modern reinforced concrete construction called ‘BuildSimply’.

‘BuildSimply’ is a platform that utilizes factory-produced concrete PC (Precast Concrete) to design and plan reinforced concrete buildings at the intended construction site. It aims to make the complex field of architecture easier and more convenient, and to realize Off-Site Construction (OSC) through Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DfMA), which refers to design for manufacturing and assembly.

Depending on the nature of the construction, BuildSimply consists of two services: BuildSketch and BuildPass.

The BuildSketch service allows users to arrange reinforced concrete modular units in desired shapes and provides estimates for the arranged modules. By sketching the modules like stacking blocks, it intuitively shows users design and construction simulations.

Next, the BuildPass service conveniently interprets complex construction regulations for the building owner when entering the site information, and allows placement of KC MMC’s standard model buildings (residential or commercial) on the intended construction site. Additionally, users can check the shape, floor plan, composition, and cost of the placed building in a construction report.

BuildSimply stated, “We plan to build a continuous partner network through collaboration with architects, construction companies, engineering firms, and developers, starting with reinforced concrete modular units by leveraging KC Industry and KC MMC’s precast concrete manufacturing and design construction technologies.” They added, “Through the convergence of KC Industry’s precast concrete expertise and IT technology, we expect to not only revitalize the OSC industry and lead a new paradigm in specialized construction, but also contribute to the popularization of modern construction methods by cooperating with various stakeholders in related industries.”
