KT announced on the 4th that it has prepared a roaming event for KT mobile customers traveling abroad during the summer vacation and holiday season. The event will be held simultaneously at KT stores nationwide and on the official KT website, and the period is until August 31.
Mobile customers visiting stores will be given a 'Voice Roaming 5,500 KRW (VAT included) Discount Coupon' valid until August 31. After simple identity verification via the QR code available in the store, showing it to the store staff will register the discount coupon. For example, in 45 countries worldwide where the 'RoamingON' service applies a voice roaming rate of 1.98 KRW per second, customers can talk for about 46 minutes with the 5,500 KRW voice roaming discount.
An event promoting the data roaming product 'Roaming Data HamkkeON' is also being held on the official KT website. All customers who share the event content '100% Win When Sharing HamkkeON!' will receive various prizes such as a 3,300 KRW discount coupon for 'Roaming Data HamkkeON,' coupons for shaved ice, ice cream, hamburger sets, iced Americano, and a one-month free subscription to Millie's Library.
'Roaming Data HamkkeON' is a plan where one customer pays the fee and up to three KT mobile customers traveling together, including the customer themselves, can share data roaming on their own phones without additional charges. This plan is popular because KT mobile customers such as family, friends, or partners can share data together when traveling abroad. KT recommends data roaming products on its website based on travel schedules and usage patterns.
