KOSHA Holds Best Practice Presentation Contest at Kintex
The Ministry of Employment and Labor (Minister Lee Jeong-sik) hosted the main event of the ‘2023 Industrial Safety and Health Month,’ the Safety and Health Education Institution Best Practice Presentation Contest, which was held on the 3rd at KINTEX in Ilsan, organized by the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency (Chairman Ahn Jong-joo).
This event was held for the first time to strengthen the competitiveness of safety and health education institutions, following the government’s announcement of the Serious Accident Reduction Roadmap in November last year.
Among the 68 institutions that received an S grade in last year’s safety and health education institution evaluation, six institutions selected through document screening and on-site verification shared their safety and health education know-how and best practices with private education institutions.
As a result of the event, the Grand Prize (Minister of Employment and Labor Award) was awarded to the Korea Industrial Safety Association, the Excellence Awards (Chairman’s Award) went to Seoul Industrial Safety Consulting Co., Ltd. and Allwin Edu Co., Ltd., and the Merit Awards (Chairman’s Award) were given to the Korea Industrial Health Association, Daehan Creative Safety Education Institute Co., Ltd., and Maeil Safety Technology Co., Ltd.
Additionally, Halla Cement Co., Ltd. presented an excellent case of experiential education and received the Agency’s Special Award (Chairman’s Award).
Jang Gyeong-bu, Director of Education Innovation at the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency, said, “We hope these best practices spread to all safety and health education institutions nationwide and contribute to creating a ‘safe and healthy workplace, happy Korea.’”
