Muan County Council Reaffirms Commitment to Advance as a Progressive Assembly on the 1st Anniversary of the 9th Council's Opening

Temporary Sessions Held 5 Times, Regular Sessions 3 Times... Reviewed and Processed a Total of 146 Agenda Items Including Ordinance Proposals

The Jeonnam Muan County Council (Chairman Kim Kyung-hyun) held a time of reaffirmation on the 3rd after paying respects at the Memorial Tower to mark the 1st anniversary of the opening of the 9th council, aiming to leap forward as an advanced council.

According to the county council on the 3rd, the 9th Muan County Council, which started last July under the slogan "Communicative and Trusted Muan County Council," operated five extraordinary sessions and three regular sessions from the 280th to the 287th sessions, deliberating and processing a total of 146 agenda items, including 111 ordinances (61 proposed by council members, 50 submitted by the executive branch), six budget and settlement proposals, nine recommendations and resolutions, and 20 other agenda items.

In addition, through 11 county administration questions and 13 five-minute free speeches, the council has actively carried out legislative activities representing the voices of the residents.

Chairman Kim Kyung-hyun said, "We will do our best as a council that communicates with residents and is trusted, without forgetting our original intention," and added, "As a representative body of the residents, we will communicate with the executive branch and become a council that meets the expectations of the residents."

Meanwhile, on the morning of the same day, after holding an appointment ceremony for five personnel appointments (one promotion, one new post, three transfers) effective from the 1st in the chairman's office, a July council members' meeting was held with council members and executive officials in attendance, urging them to devote full efforts to major projects such as national subsidy projects.
