Providing Non-Face-to-Face Health Management Services Using Mobile Apps
Hampyeong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 3rd that it will officially launch a senior health management project based on artificial intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT).
This project provides a non-face-to-face health management service where health information measured using a dedicated mobile app called ‘Oneul Geongang’ and Bluetooth devices displaying blood pressure, blood sugar, and activity levels is monitored by health professionals.
The project targets 250 seniors aged 65 or older who need chronic disease and health management improvement, and participants must own a smartphone due to the nature of the project.
Selected participants will be given a wrist activity tracker that displays steps taken and calories burned, and depending on individual health conditions, a blood pressure monitor and blood glucose meter will be additionally provided.
For seniors who are not familiar with using smartphones, a screen-type AI speaker with the app pre-installed will be provided.
Participants will check their health status by using the health measurement devices themselves and complete health missions through the smartphone app.
Additionally, experts in fields such as health, nutrition, and exercise will provide personalized consultations, and if abnormal data is detected or the app is not accessed, health status will be checked via phone calls or home visits.
A health center official said, “We will do our best to ensure that seniors can enjoy a happy and healthy old age through health management using ICT technology.”
Meanwhile, Hampyeong-gun was selected last October in the Ministry of Health and Welfare’s ‘2023 AI-IoT Based Senior Health Management’ contest.
