Yongsan-gu Holds Kick-off Meeting for the 2040 Mid- to Long-term Comprehensive Development Plan Establishment Project

On the 28th of last month, about 20 participants including the district mayor, council members, officials, and experts attended

Promoted to present the future development vision of the district centered on large-scale projects

Collecting residents' opinions through surveys, public briefings, and reporting sessions to set priorities

Yongsan-gu (Mayor Park Hee-young) held a kick-off meeting for the '2040 Yongsan-gu Mid- to Long-term Comprehensive Development Plan' establishment project at the smart conference room on the 28th of last month.

Launched in May, this project was promoted to present Yongsan-gu’s future development vision in response to the rapidly changing administrative environment. Currently, the district is at the center of major projects such as the International Business District, Yongsan Meta Valley, and the creation of Yongsan Park.

Through analysis of various local conditions and future environments, this project aims to establish mid- to long-term visions and goals, discover feasible core projects, and formulate development strategies for new changes.

At the meeting, about 20 participants including Mayor Park Hee-young, Yongsan-gu council members, officials, and experts from various fields attended. Kim Hee-chul, a senior researcher from the Korea Management Association Consulting, presented and shared the overall project direction and plans.

This 10-month project will be concretized through the participation and cooperation of advisory committee members composed of experts in various fields and key task managers.

Additionally, the district plans to reflect diverse residents’ opinions and set priorities for regional development through surveys, public briefings, and reporting sessions.

Mayor Park Hee-young of Yongsan-gu said, “Through the establishment of the 2040 Mid- to Long-term Comprehensive Development Plan, we aim to achieve continuous development and innovation in various fields,” adding, “This kick-off meeting will serve as a catalyst for new changes in Yongsan.”
