GC (Green Cross Holdings) announced on the 30th that it has published the integrated report "2023 GC Sustainability Management Report," which contains the ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) activities and achievements of its major affiliates, including GCNokSipJa, GCCell (GC Cell).
This report was prepared by selecting four key areas to more effectively promote ESG management: ▲ expanding healthcare accessibility ▲ customer safety and quality responsibility ▲ ethics and compliance ▲ environmental responsibility. It was prepared in accordance with the latest standards of the international guideline for sustainability reports, the GRI (Global Reporting Initiative). After conducting a materiality assessment with internal and external stakeholders and experts, 10 important issues were derived and selected.
First, GC NokSipJa and its affiliates are conducting clinical trials locally after receiving designations as orphan drugs and fast track status from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for rare diseases and cell and gene therapies (CGT). In addition, to strengthen pharmaceutical quality, they have established and operate a quality management process, and supply pharmaceuticals to various countries based on certifications of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) from domestic and international regulatory agencies. Efforts are also being made to expand ESG management from a supply chain perspective.
Along with this, an environmental strategy has been established to achieve "2050 Carbon Neutrality (Net Zero)," setting practical goals for environmental activities and conducting environmental performance evaluation and monitoring. The report also includes specific activities aimed at minimizing greenhouse gas emissions, environmental pollutants, and waste discharge.
A GC official stated, "We will continue to strive to communicate with various stakeholders by publishing sustainability management reports that include ESG performance and plans annually." The full 2023 GC Sustainability Management Report can be viewed on the official website.
