The 'Silla Seniors Academy' is a project operated by Silla University since 2010 under the commission of Busan City to help build bonds among the elderly aged 60 and over and to promote entry into a healthy aging society.

The academy has operated 22 classes to date, producing 1,088 graduates. Elderly members actively engage in various volunteer activities and community services such as the Hope Sharing Campaign and helping neighbors in need.

At this graduation ceremony, Jeong Tae-gi from Busan City encouraged the graduates and promised to continue developing the project to create a healthy aging society.

One graduate of the academy said, "Through the Silla Seniors Academy, I have regained my passion for life and started a new chapter in my second life. I will use what I have learned and felt as a foundation to contribute to the local community."

The Silla University Lifelong Education Center plans to recruit new students for the 23rd class of the 'Silla Seniors Academy' starting in August, with classes beginning in September.
