Jungnang-gu 'Youth Film School' Operation

Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Gyeong-gi) is operating the "Jungnang-gu Youth Film School" to nurture future filmmakers.

Now in its third year, the "Jungnang-gu Youth Film School" is designed to help young people experience all stages of film production, including screenwriting, filming, and editing, fostering creativity and dreams.

Active film directors such as Kim Heon and Lee Sang-woo serve as mentors, providing lectures covering the entire film production process, from basic film theory to filming theory, practice, and editing. Under the guidance of these directors, students can write scripts, film, and produce their own movies.

Theory and practice sessions will be held from July 23 to September 3, and the films created by the youth will be screened at the "Jungnang-gu Youth Film Festival" this coming November.

The film school is open to any youth aged 14 to 19 residing in Jungnang-gu who dream of becoming filmmakers. Approximately 20 participants will be recruited by July 7, and applications can be submitted via Google Forms.

Ryu Gyeong-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, said, "The film school is a great opportunity not only for youth aspiring to be filmmakers but for all young people to have a unique experience. I hope they discover their abilities and talents and spend a valuable time broadening their horizons for the future."
