Lotte Homeshopping's character 'Belligom' merchandise has gained popularity, surpassing 5 billion KRW in cumulative sales over one year. Based on a fandom of 1.6 million social network service (SNS) followers, the merchandise product line is expanding, and next month it will enter TikTok Shop, a global content commerce channel, officially expanding its stage worldwide.

According to Lotte Homeshopping on the 30th, the cumulative sales of Belligom merchandise, first launched in March last year, exceeded 5 billion KRW within one year. The types of merchandise have also increased from about 10 initially to over 100 now through collaborations with famous brands. The flagship product, the Belligom sitting doll, caused 'sold-out crazes' at every offline exhibition. Face cushions, toothbrush sterilizers, exhibition figures, and driver covers are also popular products.


Products introduced through collaborations with well-known domestic brands also contributed to the popularity. Last month, ahead of Children's Day, the 'Amazing Belligom' cake, released in collaboration with Paris Baguette, attracted attention immediately upon launch and recorded high sales. As a gesture of gratitude for customer interest, a 'Belligom First Nationwide Tour' event was held in June at five Paris Baguette stores across the country.


Global competitiveness is also being strengthened. Belligom participated as Korea's representative character at the 'Licensing Expo 2023' held in Las Vegas, USA, from the 13th to the 15th. This is to expand overseas entry through merchandise exports and enhance competitiveness as a global character. Next month, it will enter TikTok Shop, the sales channel of the SNS platform TikTok, which had 3.5 billion cumulative downloads as of 2022, expanding merchandise exports. TikTok Shop is an e-commerce platform combining content and commerce, enabling sales through live commerce and short-form videos, and the company expects it to be a great opportunity to introduce Belligom to MZ generation (Millennials + Generation Z) customers worldwide.
