Kyungsung University Department of Psychology Selects College Student Mental Health Supporters 'YoungMind'

Students from the Department of Psychology at Kyungsung University have been selected as supporters for Young Mind, a program aimed at eliminating mental health stigma.

The university student mental health supporter group ‘Young Mind (0mind)’ is a mental health awareness improvement program centered on university students, hosted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and co-organized by the National Center for Mental Health and the Central Mental Health Welfare Project Support Group.

The team ‘Sketch,’ composed of third-year psychology students at Kyungsung University, has adopted the team slogan ‘Sketch new world,’ meaning to envision a new life in a world free of prejudice. They carry out activities such as mental health awareness campaigns using social media and mental health media monitoring.

The team members include Gu Minji, Moon Jihee, Park Mingyu, Yoon Eunseo, Lee Raeyeon, Lee Seonmin, Jung Onyu, and Hwang Jeonghee.

The Young Mind supporters aim to provide accurate information about mental health and correct misunderstandings and prejudices about mental health to contribute to creating a ‘healthy society.’ This year, a total of 100 teams (684 members) were selected, and activities are scheduled to continue for five months.
