At 12:11 AM on the 28th, a road near Yepo Village in Gwangdo-myeon, Tongyeong-si, Gyeongnam, was washed away by the rain that fell overnight but was restored by dawn.
According to the Gyeongnam Fire Headquarters, the road in question is National Route 77, where soil and stones washed onto the road by the rain covered part of it.
The washed-away road was emergency restored around 3 AM by firefighters who dispatched pump trucks and other equipment.
In Sinjeon-ri, Idong-myeon, Namhae-gun, four residents from four households evacuated as some houses were flooded.
On National Route in Panmun-dong, Jinju-si, a tree beside the road fell and covered the road, and the road near Kim Si-min Bridge in Hadae-dong was also flooded.
Throughout the night, heavy rain accompanied by thunder and lightning poured down at a maximum hourly rate of 70mm across various parts of Gyeongnam, but most areas entered a lull around 1 AM, and no casualties occurred.
