The LINC 3.0 Project Group at Dongseo University recently conducted a 'DX (Digital Transformation) Era Tourism Industry-Academia Cooperation Workforce Training' over two weeks, collaborating with experts from six tourism industry sectors including casinos, aviation, hotels, MICE, and tourism ventures.
This training aimed to cultivate talent to lead the tourism industry, which has been stagnant since COVID-19, and was led by the Department of Tourism, a participating department of the DX Tourism ICC, held at Dongseo University Centum Campus.
The training on workforce development for the tourism sector in the DX era covered changes in the tourism industry shifting from domestic to international tourism and strategies to respond to changes in tourist demand after COVID-19.
It also discussed university efforts to address the current shortage of tourism personnel caused by turnover due to COVID-19 and to revitalize international tourism.
