4 Projects Including Steep Slope Maintenance at Gwangyang Yeongse Park
Jung In-hwa, Mayor of Gwangyang City, announced on the 26th that he visited the Jeonnam Provincial Office and met directly with Kim Young-rok, Governor of Jeonnam Province, to propose Gwangyang City's pending projects.
The main proposed projects include ▲ Gwangyang Yeongse Park steep slope hazardous road maintenance project ▲ Baegunje trail creation project ▲ Gubongsan area tourism hub development project ▲ support for the comprehensive plan (revision) service fee for Su-eo Stream river maintenance, all aimed at alleviating citizen inconveniences and revitalizing the local economy.
In particular, regarding the Gwangyang Yeongse Park steep slope hazardous road maintenance project, the roads around the municipal Yeongse Park (opened in 2000) are steep, posing risks of traffic and safety accidents, so a request was made to support 500 million KRW from the special adjustment grant to resolve this issue promptly.
Additionally, for the Su-eo Stream river maintenance comprehensive plan (revision) service, since 10 years have passed since the establishment of the comprehensive river maintenance plan (revision), a request was made for support of service fees so that Jeonnam Province can directly carry out the service or Gwangyang City can proceed with it promptly. This is to install facilities preventing seawater backflow in the lower Su-eo Stream area to prevent saline damage such as to vinyl greenhouses in the Jinsang-myeon Cheongam and Geumji areas.
After meeting with Governor Kim Young-rok, Jung In-hwa, Mayor of Gwangyang City, additionally met with Jang Heon-beom, Director of Planning and Coordination at Jeonnam Province, urging active efforts to reflect the budget for Gwangyang City's pending projects.
