Opticore is showing strong performance. This is interpreted as being influenced by U.S. President Joe Biden's announcement to invest $40 billion (approximately 52 trillion KRW) to build a nationwide ultra-high-speed internet infrastructure by 2030.
As of 9:21 a.m. on the 27th, Opticore is trading at 2,345 KRW, up 6.35% compared to the previous day.
The day before, President Biden declared the practical nationwide rollout of ultra-high-speed internet during a White House speech as part of his three-week 'Invest in America' tour, which focuses on promoting his economic achievements. He announced the allocation of $40 billion (approximately 52 trillion KRW) to connect every region in the United States with ultra-high-speed internet.
He stated, "Ultra-high-speed internet is not a luxury but an absolute necessity," adding, "With this funding, by 2030, every American will be connected to reliable ultra-high-speed internet."
The White House said in a press release, "Americans need ultra-high-speed internet to work, participate equally in school, receive healthcare, and stay in touch with family and friends."
It emphasized, "Just as former President Franklin Roosevelt supplied electricity to nearly every home in America through the Rural Electrification Act, President Biden is fulfilling a historic promise to connect all Americans to stable and affordable internet."
Meanwhile, Opticore is developing wavelength-variable optical transceivers and core technologies required for high-speed and long-distance transmission, which are essential for 5G mobile communications?the world's first commercialized technology?and future 6G mobile communications, in line with its business strategy.
Opticore is known to have secured major clients such as Samsung Electronics, Ericsson, and Nokia based on its technological capabilities. In particular, as Chinese companies are excluded in the U.S., it is expected that communication equipment products from companies like Samsung will be used more widely, which is why Opticore is receiving attention.
