The Ministry of the Interior and Safety selected services with high public usage frequency and strong private sector demand last year as 'service open pilot projects' and, in collaboration with the service management agencies, is implementing these services through private apps. 'Digital service opening' is a project to create a digital innovation ecosystem together with the private sector and is one of the core tasks in the 'Digital Platform Government Implementation Plan' finalized with the Digital Platform Government Committee. Private companies have added their creativity and innovation to the opened services to create new converged services, thereby enhancing public convenience.

Users can check routes to destinations and book SRT tickets via map or mobility apps. The system not only notifies users of the vehicle inspection period in advance but also allows reservations at nearby inspection centers and provides location information on the day of inspection. After checking reviews and fee information about arboretums, users can make immediate reservations. For Incheon International Airport, the service provides not only routes to the airport but also optimal routes and estimated times to boarding gates.

Currently, SRT ticket booking is available on Naver, Naver Map, and Kakao T, and from the second half of the year, it will also be available on Toss, Shinhan pLay, and KB Star Banking. Vehicle inspection reservations can be made via Naver, Naver Map, Kakao T, Toss, KB Star Banking, and Shinhan My Car. National Arboretum reservations are available on Naver, Naver Map, and KB Pay, with KB Star Banking adding this service in the second half of the year. Reservations for the National Sejong and Baekdudaegan Arboretums can be made through KB Pay, with KB Star Banking also supporting this from the second half of the year. Incheon International Airport map services are currently available on KB Star Banking and will expand to Kakao T and Naver/Naver Map in the second half of the year.

The digital service open brand identity (BI) will be displayed on the relevant screens or menus of private apps. This makes it easy to confirm that the services can be used immediately without moving to public web or apps.

On the 27th, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety plans to hold a demonstration event at Suseo Station, attended by Han Chang-seop, Vice Minister of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, Ko Jin, Chairman of the Digital Platform Government Committee, service management agencies, and participating companies, to announce the launch of the digital service open pilot services.

Vice Minister Han Chang-seop stated, “With the launch of this service leading digital service opening, the public will experience the changed daily life through the Digital Platform Government,” adding, “We will also speedily promote the 23 services to be opened this year together with the private sector to create new value beyond convenience.”

Chairman Ko Jin said, “The opening and launch of this digital service is the first achievement of the Digital Platform Government implementation task, which created new value by combining public and private services,” and added, “The committee will continue to cooperate with each ministry to ensure that new public-private converged services can be created.”
