Yongin Honestone Columbarium 2nd Floor New Building Grand Opening

Premium columbarium Yongin Park Honorstone recorded a 30% contract rate in the pre-contract for the opening of the new building on the 2nd floor.

Honorstone, which grandly opened the new building on June 12 under the concept of "Adding premium to premium," is considered a prime location even among the prime spots in Yongin, the metropolitan area. This is because many prestigious families in Korea are buried in Yongin, following the old saying "Live in Jincheon, die in Yongin" (Saenggeo Jincheon Sageo Yongin).

Meanwhile, according to the 2022 Ministry of Health and Welfare's comprehensive plan for funeral facility supply and demand, the shortage of burial facilities is expected to worsen around 2026. The causes include residents' opposition to the installation of crematories and columbariums.

While burial facilities are insufficient, the cremation rate at the time of death exceeded 86.8% nationwide and 90.2% in the metropolitan area as of 2018, highlighting the importance of expanding columbariums in the metropolitan area. In response to this demand, Honorstone established a total of 10,000 urn compartments on a large site of 6,612㎡. The newly opened 2nd-floor new building secured a larger columbarium area than before, creating a comfortable atmosphere.

Columbarium Honorstone aims to provide a bright and warm memorial space under the responsible operation of Yongin Park, a funeral artisan company with 50 years of tradition. Utilizing the Harmony Garden, where the first anniversary memorial event for the late actress Kang Soo-yeon was held last May, it plans to offer member services such as cultural and leisure activities starting in the second half of this year, showcasing services befitting a premium facility.

In addition to the geographical advantage of being 40 minutes from Seoul, Honorstone boasts premium facilities and services comparable to a 5-star hotel. To secure preferred spots, quick visits and consultations for contracts are essential. Among the new building room types, the Royal Hall achieved a pre-contract rate of 30% of the total inventory. Currently, Honorstone is conducting a special promotion for visits and consultations commemorating the grand opening.
