"Listening to Residents' Difficulties Including Agricultural Water"
National Assembly member Ahn Ho-young (Democratic Party of Korea, Wanju·Muju·Jinan·Jangsu) will hold an on-site "Water Management Briefing Session" with farmers on the 27th at the large conference room of the Soyang-myeon Administrative Welfare Center in Wanju-gun, Jeonbuk Province.
The briefing session will be attended by Jeonbuk Provincial Council member Yoon Soo-bong, Wanju County Council Chairman Seo Nam-yong, all county council members, related officials including Kim Wan-joong, head of the Korea Rural Community Corporation Jeonju Wanju Imsil branch, Wanju County officials, the Wanju County Village Leaders Association, the Democratic Party of Korea Wanju County Council chairman, and farmers from Wanju County.
The briefing will include explanations of integrated water management measures and water management plans, such as the 2023 drought countermeasure project plan for the farming season by the Rural Community Corporation Jeonju Wanju Imsil branch, and will gather complaints related to agricultural water from farmers in Wanju County.
Assemblyman Ahn stated, "We aim to establish safe agricultural water supply and management measures to prepare for disasters in advance due to climate change," adding, "We prepared this briefing session to listen in advance to the difficulties faced by Wanju residents during the full-scale farming season and to share directions for agricultural water management."
