According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, the rain falling in the Chungcheong, southern regions, and Jeju on this day is expected to spread nationwide on the 26th and 27th. Especially, heavy rain will occur mainly in Jeju Island, Jeolla region, and Gyeongnam region.

By noon on this day, about 100mm of rain had already poured in some parts of Hallasan in Jeju. The rainfall in the Jeju mountainous area and the southern coast is expected to be particularly heavy due to the warm and humid southerly winds blowing from the front of the low-pressure system developed over the stationary front and the edge of the North Pacific High.

The areas experiencing concentrated rainfall will shift slightly depending on the movement of the stationary front. Jeju, the southern coast, and the area near Jirisan will see heavy rain until nightfall on this day.

The inland northern parts of Honam, Gyeongnam, and Gyeongbuk, as well as the central regions (excluding Gangwon Yeongdong), are expected to receive the heaviest rain from the afternoon of this day until the morning of the 26th. Caution is needed as heavy rain may fall during the Monday morning commute.

The expected rainfall from the 25th to the 26th is up to 300mm or more in Jeju, 50 to 120mm in Jeolla and Gyeongnam regions, and 30 to 100mm in Chungcheong, Gyeongbuk, the Seoul metropolitan area, inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon, Ulleungdo and Dokdo, and the five western islands on the 26th.

With rain falling nationwide tomorrow, temperatures will drop, possibly leading to the lifting of the heatwave warning. From the afternoon of the day after tomorrow, some areas, mainly in the central regions, are expected to experience a lull.

The Korea Meteorological Administration advised, "Be cautious of heavy and intense rainfall," and added, "Since rain falling in the upper reaches of valleys or rivers can cause sudden flooding downstream, refrain from camping and be especially careful of rapid currents." They also stated, "Be mindful of facility management and safety accidents caused by gusts of wind, thunder, and lightning, and pay attention to traffic safety as visibility may decrease and roads may become slippery."
