Two Men in Their 40s Injured and Killed After Falling While Smoking on Pension Railing

Two men in their 40s who were smoking while leaning on a railing in the corridor of a pension fell, resulting in one death, and the police have launched an investigation.


According to Sacheon Police Station in Gyeongnam on the 25th, at around 12:20 a.m. on the 24th, two men in their 40s who were smoking on the second-floor corridor railing of a pension in Sacheon City fell, causing one death and one injury.


It is known that they were leaning on the railing while smoking when the railing collapsed, causing them to fall about 3.5 meters below. The two men were taken to the hospital immediately after the accident following a report by a fellow employee, but one died during treatment, and the other is receiving medical care for injuries.


The police are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident while also questioning the pension owner about possible negligence in safety management and plan to investigate the construction company responsible for the pension as well.
