International oil prices fell, causing S-Oil to weaken.
As of 9:49 a.m. on the 23rd, S-Oil was trading at 69,900 KRW, down 1.55% from the previous trading day. During the session, it even dropped to a 52-week low of 69,800 KRW.
The weakness of S-Oil is attributed to the sharp decline in international oil prices. On the 22nd (local time), the price of August West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil fell 4.25% from the previous trading day to $69.51 per barrel. August Brent crude oil closed at $74.14, down 3.92% from the previous trading day.
