Jeong Jong-bok, Gijang County Governor, Joins the 'Single-Use Products Zero Challenge'

Jung Jong-bok, the mayor of Gijang-gun, participated in the 'Single-Use Products Zero Challenge' on the 21st.


This campaign was promoted to raise awareness and build consensus for reducing the use of single-use products in daily life, and Minister of Environment Han Hwa-jin was the first to start the challenge in February.


The campaign proceeds by participants pledging to reduce the use of single-use products, posting photos with the message on SNS, and nominating the next participant.

Mayor Jung participated upon the recommendation of Joo Seok-su, the mayor of Yeonje-gu, and shared the message "Reduce the use of single-use products and increase the use of reusable products" while holding a 'Single-Use Products Zero Challenge' sign.


Mayor Jung stated, "Gijang-gun will take the lead in minimizing the use of single-use products and saving resources," and urged, "We ask the residents to also limit the use of disposable cups, disposable bags, and join in practicing carbon neutrality." He recommended Kim Jae-yoon, the mayor of Geumjeong-gu, as the next participant.
