[Featured Stock] Geninus Surges Over 7% Intraday on AI Theme Boost

Genome analysis company Geninus is showing a surge of over 7% during trading hours.

At 2:12 PM on the 22nd, Geninus was trading at 3,045 KRW, up 7.6% from the previous trading day. The company's stock price even soared to 3,110 KRW during the session.

Recently, as medical artificial intelligence (AI) companies' stock prices have skyrocketed in the stock market, investor sentiment appears to have shifted to Geninus, which is using AI for new drug development. Earlier, AI medical diagnosis company Lunit showed a significant rise in stock price, increasing by more than 106% over the past month. During the same period, AI medical device developer Vuno also surged nearly 69%. AI new drug development company Syntekabio rose by 23%.

Currently, foreigners and institutions are showing net buying trends in the market. Foreign investors purchased 80,000 shares on this day, marking two consecutive days of net buying. Institutions also net bought about 57,000 shares.
