The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization announced on the 21st that the online event will be held from the 21st to July 2nd, and the offline event will take place on the 24th in the front yard of Cheongwadae Sarangchae.

Earlier, in May, the Korea Tourism Organization unveiled the 'Top 10 Cheongwadae Area Tourist Courses,' connecting Cheongwadae and surrounding tourist spots, which have emerged as a new center of K-tourism, through various themes. The courses include experiences of the Joseon royal family, a cultural walk in Seochon, K-culture, and other diverse preferences.

The online event, 'Create Content for the Top 10 Cheongwadae Travel Courses According to My Own Taste,' allows participants to create promotional content for the Top 10 Cheongwadae Area Tourist Courses in short-form videos (20-30 seconds), photos, webtoons, illustrations, etc., and upload them to social networking service (SNS) channels with the required hashtags. Anyone can easily participate using various channels such as YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and Instagram image content. Forty winners will receive various prizes, including gift certificates.

The 'Spread the Word about Cheongwadae Tourism Event' allows participation by sharing the event post uploaded on the event account to one’s Instagram story with the required tags. The winners of the online event will be announced on July 5th, and 100 people will be randomly selected to receive coffee vouchers worth 10,000 KRW.

On the 24th, an offline event will be held in the front yard of Cheongwadae Sarangchae. The event includes 'Taking photos with the large sculpture of the Korea Tourism promotional character Hojongi' and 'Guerrilla performances by singers Lee Youngji and Kiko.'

The 'Find Hojongi' event will also be held simultaneously. Participants who visit one or more of the Top 10 Cheongwadae Area Tourist Courses and take photos of the hidden Hojongi character within the course, then upload the content to their Instagram with the required hashtags, will complete their participation. The first 200 participants who verify their content upload at the on-site booth will receive a small gift on a first-come, first-served basis. The on-site booth will operate from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and the guerrilla concert will be held for one hour starting at 2 p.m.

Park Kyungsook, head of the Tourism Promotion Operations Team at the Korea Tourism Organization, said, "We hope many people enjoy the diverse charms of the 10 Cheongwadae Area tourist courses through this event," and added, "Please continue to show your interest in the future."
