Hong Nampyo, Mayor of Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam, attended the 312th Joint Labor-Management Breakfast Seminar hosted by the Gyeongnam Employers Federation on the 21st and said, "We are considering ways to integrate ChatGPT into city administration."

The lecture that day was given by Sung Wonyong, an AI expert and emeritus professor at Seoul National University, under the theme "Utilization and Principles of ChatGPT, and the Future Impact of Generative AI." Reflecting the recent high interest in AI, many local businesspeople attended, receiving a strong response.

Earlier, Mayor Hong encouraged employees to take an interest in ChatGPT through an executive meeting held in February. The city is also exploring ways to utilize it in public administration, including providing ChatGPT training for employees.

Mayor Hong said, "ChatGPT has become a global topic, and it can be integrated not only into industry but also into administrative areas," adding, "We will do our best to establish a system to nurture specialized talent suited for AI and the Fourth Industrial Revolution era in cooperation with universities in Changwon and Gyeongnam."
