To Choweon-gil! To Bidan-gil! For the 2030 Busan World Expo Bid! ... 2023 Eurasia Citizen March Participants Recruitment Poster for Recruiting Participants for the '2023 Eurasia Citizen Expedition'.

Hosted by Busan City and organized by the Busan International Exchange Foundation (Secretary General Hwang Gi-sik), the 'Eurasia Citizen Expedition' has been held since 2016 to promote Busan as the departure city of the Eurasian continent and to build cooperative networks with cities in the Eurasian region. It is the first of its kind organized by a local government and is now in its 6th year.

This year, the expedition is scheduled to take place over 11 nights and 13 days from August 22 to September 3.

Under the slogan "On the Steppe Road! On the Silk Road! For the 2030 Busan World Expo Bid!", about 25 members will visit five cities in four countries: Ulaanbaatar in Mongolia, Almaty in Kazakhstan, Tashkent and Samarkand in Uzbekistan, and Paris in France.

During the expedition, members will promote the 2030 Busan World Expo and hold various promotional events to showcase the charm of Busan, the candidate city for hosting. They will also organize exchange events between Busan university students and local university students, faithfully fulfilling their role as private diplomats.

The recruitment target is about 10 people, qualified as currently enrolled or on leave students at universities or graduate schools located in Busan, aged between 18 and under 34, who possess talents, skills, or passion that can contribute to the event.

The final participants will be announced on July 17 after document and interview evaluations. Selected members will be divided into fields such as interpretation, cultural events, and filming and promotion.

Applications can be submitted until July 9 through the Busan International Exchange Foundation Eurasia Cooperation Center website. For further inquiries, please contact the Busan International Exchange Foundation.

An official from the city stated, "This year's Eurasia Citizen Expedition carries an even heavier responsibility as it promotes Busan's bid for the 2030 World Expo." He added, "We expect this expedition to widely publicize Busan's role and vision in leading human coexistence, as well as Busan's capabilities for hosting the 2030 Busan World Expo, to Eurasian countries. We ask for the citizens' great interest and participation."
