Knee-Length Freedom in Dress Code
260 Locations Participating... 8% Increase YoY
Golf booking platform XGOLF announced on the 21st that it will hold the '2023 Shorts Campaign' for the summer season.
Since 2014, XGOLF has been leading the shorts campaign to break away from the traditional stereotype of golf courses requiring formal attire for entry and to create a freer golf culture. The campaign encourages wearing knee-length shorts during rounds and promotes relaxed dress codes. As the age range of golf enthusiasts diversifies, the number of participating golf courses has also increased each summer. This year, 260 courses are participating, an 8% increase from last year. Golf courses where shorts rounds are allowed can be identified by the 'Shorts Icon' on XGOLF.
To spread the campaign, XGOLF is holding social media (SNS) events. These include a post-sharing event that anyone can join, even non-golfers, and a participation photo upload event with hashtags. Participants will be entered into a draw to win prizes such as coffee coupons, and those who join the photo certification event can also participate in the 'Best Golfer' event.
