Kyungdong Navien announced on the 19th that it won the Red Dot Design Award, the world's most prestigious design award, for its 'Condensing Air Conditioner Hybrid.' The Condensing Air Conditioner Hybrid is a product that implements cooling by utilizing the waste heat generated during the power generation process, similar to district heating, and is gaining attention as a next-generation eco-friendly cooling technology that recycles surplus thermal energy.

Kyungdong Navien put great effort not only into the product's functionality but also into the design of the indoor unit, which plays a key role in interior decor. It is explained that "the comfortable air provided by the Condensing Air Conditioner Hybrid was inspired by the pure white collar flower fluttering in the breeze." Additionally, the difference in height between the ceiling and the indoor unit was minimized, and a soft curved form was used to harmonize with the indoor space.

The Red Dot Design Award is organized by the German Design Association and is considered one of the world's top three design awards alongside Germany's iF Design Award and the United States' IDEA. Kim Yong-beom, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Kyungdong Navien, said, "The design of home appliances plays an important role as a part of interior decor in creating a comfortable living environment," adding, "Kyungdong Navien will continue to differentiate itself by combining excellent technology with stylish design."
