Hyundai Motor Group's global software center FortyTwoDot is expanding and relocating its office to the 2nd Pangyo Techno Valley. This move aims to gather employees scattered across various regions in one place to enhance communication synergy and accelerate the transition to SDV (Software Defined Vehicle).
On the 19th, FortyTwoDot announced that it is promoting the relocation to an integrated office in SW Dream Town located in the 2nd Pangyo Techno Valley. The goal is to move in by the end of this year.
FortyTwoDot expects that gathering employees currently dispersed in Gangnam, Yangjae, Pangyo, and Yongin in one location will improve work efficiency. The integrated office can accommodate about 1,500 employees, and one of the two buildings will be used exclusively.
FortyTwoDot plans to design the integrated office as an optimal space for electric vehicle mobility research and development. In addition to various vehicle testing areas, there will be a review (unveil) space where vehicles can be viewed at a glance, as well as exhibition and promotional spaces. They plan to build a smart office that automates all systems from meeting room reservations to visitor and employee access. Welfare spaces will also be carefully considered, including an in-house cafeteria, town hall venue, refresh rooms, medical rooms, electric vehicle charging stations, showers, and a fitness center.
A FortyTwoDot representative said, "We will incorporate startup and innovation DNA into the newly established integrated office," adding, "We aim for employees gathered in one place to create synergy in the integrated office and help the company grow into a global mobility enterprise."
