Yongin City Recovers Ownership of 6 Road Parcels with Unfulfilled Donation Obligations through Litigation Six parcels of land at 422-71 Dunjun-ri, Pogok-eup, Pocheon-gu (Geumjeon Village Gyeryong Ri Shuvil), where Yongin City secured ownership through litigation due to non-fulfillment of donation and surrender obligations for the road

Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province has reclaimed ownership of roads in Dunjeon-ri, Pogok-eup, Cheoin-gu, where roads were constructed as a condition of a housing construction project but were not donated to the city.

The site consists of six parcels located at 422-71 Dunjeon-ri, Pogok-eup, Cheoin-gu (Geumjeon Village, Gyeryong Ri Shuville), with a total area of 878㎡.

Previously, in 2004, Yongin City approved the housing construction project on the condition that the developer would construct an urban planning road near the apartment complex and donate it to the city.

However, after completing the construction, the developer neither transferred ownership nor obtained completion approval and subsequently liquidated the corporation, causing the ownership transfer registration process to be halted.

To secure city-owned land, Yongin City discussed solutions for long-term uncompleted urban planning facilities and, after legal consultation, proceeded with the completion procedures on behalf of the liquidated corporation.

Subsequently, the city filed a lawsuit against the developer for ownership transfer registration, and in April, the Suwon District Court issued a final ruling ordering the defendant (developer) to "carry out the ownership transfer registration procedure based on gratuitous acquisition."

Yongin City completed the ownership transfer procedure for the land on the 9th of last month.

Mayor Lee Sang-il of Yongin City stated, "Although it was difficult to secure ownership due to the absence of a transferor, I am grateful that the judiciary made a careful judgment to protect the city's valuable assets," and emphasized, "We will continue to do our best to discover hidden assets to ensure the city's financial soundness."
