Completion of Public Parking Lot in Gocheok-dong Area, Guro-gu

Total floor area 506㎡, 17 flat parking spaces ... Completed final inspection and preparing for operation

Improving convenience by solving parking difficulties and securing passageways in densely populated residential areas

Guro-gu (Mayor Moon Heon-il) has completed a small-scale public parking lot in Gocheok 2-dong.

Guro-gu announced on the 19th, "We are accelerating the expansion of parking facilities within the district, one of the campaign pledges of the 8th elected administration," and "We recently completed construction to create a small-scale public parking lot in the Gocheok-dong area and are now preparing for full-scale operation."

The project site is located at 241-50, 241-348, and 241-349 Gocheok-dong, with a total floor area of 506㎡ and 17 flat parking spaces.

This section is a densely populated area of multi-family houses with many parked vehicles, where illegal parking blocking emergency vehicle passage has occurred, raising the need for parking facilities.

Accordingly, after conducting a technical feasibility review and feasibility study in 2019, the district established a promotion plan for the parking lot construction the following year. Construction was carried out for about one year starting from May last year.

Having completed the final inspection, Guro-gu plans to begin full-scale operation.

A Guro-gu official said, "The completion of this public parking lot will help resolve the parking difficulties experienced so far," and added, "We will continue to do our best to provide various facilities to improve residents' convenience."

The district is currently constructing a 502㎡ flat village community parking lot at 241-21 Gocheok-dong, aiming for completion by the end of this year, and is in the process of establishing urban planning facilities to build an underground public parking lot of 7,313㎡ with about 200 spaces at Guro Street Park.
