A heatwave advisory is issued when the daily maximum apparent temperature is expected to remain at or above 33℃ for two or more consecutive days due to the heatwave, or when a rapid rise in apparent temperature or prolonged heatwave is expected to cause significant damage.
The Korea Meteorological Administration also stated that since many places will experience maximum apparent temperatures above 33 degrees Celsius, there is a possibility that heatwave warnings will be expanded to inland central regions as well.
