The 1st ‘Geumcheon-gu Disabled Vocational Rehabilitation Day’ Commemorative Event Successfully Held

Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) held the 1st Geumcheon-gu Disabled Vocational Rehabilitation Day on the 15th at the district office lobby in collaboration with the Geumcheon-gu Disabled Vocational Rehabilitation Facilities Association (President Kim Jeong-seok).

‘Disabled Vocational Rehabilitation Facilities’ are welfare facilities that support vocational training for people with disabilities who face relatively difficult employment conditions, helping them to become independent through vocational activities.

There are seven such facilities in Geumcheon-gu.

Prior to the event, Geumcheon-gu provided education to district office and related institution employees about the ‘Priority Purchase of Products Made by Severely Disabled Persons’ system, which prioritizes purchasing goods produced by these facilities.

Additionally, a promotional booth for products was set up in the district office lobby to showcase items directly made by people with disabilities to district office staff and residents.

Furthermore, a ‘Neighborhood Happiness Concert’ was held to facilitate communication between people with and without disabilities. The concert featured high-quality performances by the ‘Geumcheon Family Orchestra,’ composed of individuals with developmental disabilities, vocalist Kim Seong-gyeol, and the ‘Hanagreen Music Concert Symphony Song Performance Team,’ delighting the residents.
